Welcome to the Shri Ramswaroop Memorial College of Engineering and Management, Lucknow. The Central Library is situated in the midst of the academic block and is the hub of academic activities. Covering an area of 1,200 sq. m., the Library is the heart and soul of the institution—a vibrant space where knowledge, learning, research, and innovation come together.
SRMCEM Central Library started functioning in 1999 at Shri Ramswaroop Memorial College of Engineering and Management (SRMCEM). The Library System is designed to provide students, faculty, researchers, and staff with a modern, technology-enabled environment that supports teaching, learning, research, and lifelong learning.
The Central Library and three branch libraries embrace modern library technologies to provide an efficient and user-friendly experience. Wi-Fi-enabled infrastructure, e-resources, CCTV IP-based colour cameras with voice recognition for security, and technology-supported services create a secure, connected, and learner-friendly environment. The Institute also has 12 departmental libraries and two hostel libraries for reference. A special feature is the Innovation Library, which provides a conducive environment to encourage and inspire students to develop new ideas and transform them into prototypes.

Technology and Digital Transformation
The Central Library is an early adopter of emerging technologies aimed at enhancing access, efficiency, and user experience. All in-house library operations are fully automated using Koha, the Library Management System, which provides seamless access to the Web Online Public Access Catalogue (WebOPAC).

Library Rules
A few shared practices help keep the Library welcoming, safe, and useful for everyone.

Library access
- Carry your valid ID-cum-Library card when entering the Library or borrowing books.
- Keep personal belongings in the cloakroom. Wallets and notebooks may be carried inside.
- Sign the visitor register and follow instructions from Library staff.

Borrowing materials
- Check materials before leaving the Library and make sure they have been properly issued.
- Borrowers are responsible for items issued to their account and should return them by the due date.
- Reference books, journals, magazines, and reserved materials are generally for use in the Library.

A shared study space
- Maintain silence and keep mobile phones on silent mode.
- Food and refreshments are not allowed in the Library.
- Do not remove any reading material without completing the issue process.
