About the Department


The undergraduate programme in Electronics and Communication Engineering is offered with the aim of providing students with a strong technical foundation and research footing in design, development, and assembling of Electronic Circuits and Systems. It prepares students to meet with challenges in the field of wireless communication technologies, global mobile communication and navigation via satellite.

The department gives its students ample industrial exposure to make them apply the classroom learning to a work environment. In line with this practice, industrial visits are organized to acquaint students with hi-tech operational systems such as electronic switches, 3G/4G mobile communication, optical fibre system . The laboratory infrastructure of the department plays a vital role in bridging the gap between classroom teaching and the industry requirements. The department is decked with the latest software tools such as MATLAB, PSPICE, VHDL, XILINX simulator, DSP kits by Texas Instruments in addition to technology based labs, such as microwave lab, optical fibre communication lab . These tools provide an opportunity to students to get hands on with basic ECE Technology. Guest lectures/workshops are organized periodically during four year ECE programme to supplement student’s technical knowhow in various areas related to this branch.

PO 1. Engineering Knowledge: – Apply the knowledge of mathematics science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to a solution of complex engineering problems.

Eligibility Criteria


Admission for 85% of the total seats are done by A.K.T.U through UPSEE - 2020.

Rest 15% seats are filled by the management of the college on the basis of merit and criteria decided by A.K.T.U. Lucknow.

Qualified candidates, who have clearly passed intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10 + 2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University and have secured minimum 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST Category candidates ) without grace marks

Prof. (Dr.) Indu Prabha Singh is the Head of Department (Electronics and Communication Engineering), SRMGPC, Lucknow. She has nineteen years of teaching and three years of industrial experience. She is a Fellow Member of the Institution of Engineers (IE), IETE; and member of IEEE. She has organized two international conferences (IC4T), authored technical books and published many national and international papers in reputed journals. Her main research interests are Analog Signal Processing and Current Mode Devices.

Prof. S. C. Tewari

Prof. Sarat Chandra Tewari is working as an Associate Director (Engg.) and Head of Electronics Branch with SRMGPC, Lucknow, since January 2008. He has multidisciplinary experience of 47 years including teaching and R&D. He possess an academic experience of more than 31 years in the field of Electronics and Communication after his graduation from IISC, Bangalore .He is a fellow member of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) and also a Fellow Member of the Institute of Engineers, India and Chartered Engineer from the Institute of Engineers, India .

He has worked as Senior Director with Centre for Electronics Design and Technology of India (A unit of the Department of Information Technology under Ministry of Communication & Information Technology (MCIT), Govt. Of India). He has worked as an Executive Director with U.P. Hill Electronics Corporation Limited, A-1/26, Vishwas Khand-II, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow-226 010 with additional charge of Managing Director, Teletronix Limited, Bhimtal (Nainital). He has also served DLRL (A Unit of DRDO) as a scientist. Has a prolonged experience at alma mater in all facets of R&D/academics activities.


Dr. Vikrant Bhateja

Dr. Vikrant Bhateja is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Shri Ramswaroop Memorial Group of Professional Colleges (SRMGPC), Lucknow (U.P.) and also the Head (Academics & Quality Control) in the same college. He is a doctorate in ECE (Bio-Medical Imaging & Signal Processing) with a total academic teaching experience of 16 years with an around 150 publications in reputed International Conferences, journals and online book chapter contributions out of which 18 papers are published in SCIE indexed journals. His areas of research include: Digital Image & Video Processing, Computer Vision, Medical Imaging, Bio-Medical Signal Processing and Machine Learning. He has been chairing/co-chairing around 15 international conferences in India as publication or TPC Chair. He has edited 20 book volumes from Springer-Nature as a corresponding/co-editor/Editor. He has around five books in press. He is a senior member of IEEE, life member of CSI and has served in Exe-Com of IEEE U.P. Section. He has also chaired IEEE Young Professional Affinity Group for year-2016-17. He is presently Editor-In-Chief of IGI Global--International Journal of Natural Computing and Research (IJNCR): an ACM and DBLP Indexed Journal since 2017. He is an associate editor in International Journal of Ambient Computing and Intelligence (IJACI)—Scopus & WoS Indexed Journal under IGI Global Press.

Dr. Vibha Srivastava is presently an assistant professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at SRMGPC, Lucknow. Her special interests include Instrumentation Engineering, Networking, Smart Sensors and Data Mining. She has more than 11 years of teaching and 10 years of industry experience and has published more than 18 research papers in national and international journals /conferences.

Er. Ashish Tiwari

Er. Ashish Tiwari is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. He has done his masters in Microelectronics Technology from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida in 2013. He is CBSE-UGC NET Qualified (for Assistant Professor), CSIR-JRF NET qualified, as well as GATE qualified. His areas of interests include VLSI design and signal processing. He has published papers in national and international journals.


Er. Shiv Mani Tripathi

Er Shiv Mani Tripathi is an assistant professor in the department of Electronics & Communication engineering at SRMGPC Lucknow. He has 19 years teaching experience and 2.5 years Industry experience and has published/presented research papers in national and international conferences.


Mr. Narendra Pratap Dixit

Narendra Pratap Dixit is working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Electronics and Communication at SRMGPC. He has done his B.Tech in Electronics and Communication in 2010. His area of interest is Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude.


Er. Dhirendra Pratap Singh

Er. Dhirendra Pratap Singh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. He has done his masters in Communication Networks and Systems from NIT Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh in 2012. He is CBSE-UGC NET qualified (for Assistant Professor) as well as GATE qualified. His area of interests includes Control System, Network Analysis & Synthesis, Signal & Systems, and Digital Communication. He has published his papers in 2 international journals, 5 international conferences and 1 national conference.

Er. Sanjay Kumar Maurya

Er. Sanjay Kumar Maurya is working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Electronics and Communication at SRMGPC. He has completed his M.Tech in Digital Communication in year 2014. His areas of interest include Wireless Communication, Digital Electronics, Electronic Circuits and Data Communication Network. Er. Awanish Shukla is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. He has done his masters in Electronics Instrumentation & Control System from AKTU, Lucknow in 2014. He is GATE qualified. His area of interest includes Basic Electronics, Electronics Devices and Circuits, Microprocessor and Analog Communication. He has published 3 international conference papers.

Er. Vivek kushwaha is working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Electronics and Communication at SRMGPC. He has completed his M.Tech from Allahabad University in year 2011. His areas of interest include Electronic Devices and Circuits, Digital Signal Processing, and Digital Communication System. He has qualified UGC Net in Electronics Science in 2012. His M.Tech project is Analysis of Notch Loaded Circular Disk Microstrip Patch Antenna for Dual Band Operation.

Er. Ashish Mishra is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering since July, 2015. He has done his Masters in Information and Communication Technology in 2014 from GLAU, Mathura (U.P). His research field is VLSI Design. In his research domain, he has published four papers in IEEE Explore and one paper in IJCA journal.

Er. Pratibha is working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Electronics and Communication at SRMGPC. She is pursuing her Doctoral Degree from Uttarakhand Technical University. She has done her M.Tech in digital communication in 2015. She has published papers in various national and international journals. Her area of interest is Embedded Programming.


Er. Anjali Nosaria

Er. Anjali Nosaria has done her M.Tech in Microelectronics from IET Lucknow. Presently, she is working as an Assistant Professor at Shri Ramswaroop Memorial Group of Professional Colleges (SRMGPC), Lucknow in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. She has taught multiple subjects such as Integrated Circuits, Basic Electronics, Computer Organization, Mobile Application Development, Data Structures, etc. She has 2 years of academic experience. Prof. Narendra Kumar Srivastava

Prof. Narendra Kumar Srivastava graduated in Electronics Engineering in 1973 and received gold medal for his M.Tech in Electronic Instrumentation in 1975 from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (now IIT-BHU). He worked in Indian Telecommunication Services of Government of India prior to coming to SRMGPC. After putting more than 35 years of service in various technical capacities he is presently working as a professor at the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at SRMGPC, Lucknow. He is a senior member of IEEE, member IIT-APT and fellow IETE. He has participated in conferences/study groups at both national and international forum and has published more than 30 papers in journals/proceedings.

Er. Pankaj Kumar

Er. Pankaj Kumar is working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Electronics and Communication at SRMGPC. He has completed his M.Tech in 2019. His M.Tech project is on Design of High Gain Wide Band Circularly Polarized Stacked Microstrip Patch Antenna Using Single Co-Axial Feed. His areas of interest include Antennas, Electromagnetic Filed Theory, and Electronic Devices.

Er. Sonam Singh is working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Electronics And Communication at SRMGPC. Dr. Anju Jaiswal

Dr. Anju Jaiswal is presently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SRMGPC, Lucknow. She has received her Ph.d in Semiconductor & Microelectronics from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Muzaffarpur and M.tech in VLSI design from Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University. She has a teaching experience of 15 years. Her areas of interest includes low power VLSI design, digital system design with VHDL/verilog and microcontroller & embedded system. She has published more than 12 research papers in international journals, IOSR journals and IEEE journals and conferences.

Er. Kunal Krishna Upadhyay

Er. Kunal Krishna Upadhyay is working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Electronics and Communication at SRMGPC. He has done his M.Tech in 2019 with specialization in Digital Communication Engineering. He has done his M.Tech project on Wide-band CPW Fed Slotted Rectangular Patch Antenna Loaded with Ring Resonators for C Band Applications.

Er. Divya Pandey is working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Electronics and Communication at SRMGPC. She has completed her M.Tech in 2018. She has received a certificate on Virtual Lab from IIT Kanpur. Her M.Tech project is on Resource Allocation in C-RAN using D2D Communication for 5G Wireless Technologies.


Er. Ranjan Tripathi

Er. Ranjan Tripathi is working as an Assistant Professor in Electronics and Communication department, since February, 2010. He has also taught engineering undergraduates at IET, VBS Purvanchal University, Jaunpur from 2002 to 2006. He has completed his M.Tech in Electronic Design and Technology from NIELIT, Gorakhpur (formerly DOEACC and CEDTI) in 2010. Currently, he is pursuing Ph.D from IET VBS Purvanchal University, Jaunpur. His areas of interest are Analog Integrated Circuits, Electromagnetic Field Theory, Artificial Neural Networks, Photonics and Photonic Integrated Circuits.
